WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT OF FARSALA MUNICIPALITY

The Waste Water Treatment plant processes sewage and sludge of the Municipality of Farsala with secondary biological treatment in prolonged ventilation conditions with simultaneous stabilization of the sludge, as well as biological removal of nitrogen (nitrification-denitrification). This is followed by the disinfection (chlorination and dechlorination) of the treated sewage. For the treatment (thickening-dehydration) of excess sludge, a mechanical assembly of fattening bank and filter press has been installed.

According to the technical description including in the Bidding Documentation, the Plant’s capacity is as follows:

  • Population Equivalent: 16.000 residents
  • Waste water flow: 4.300 m3/d
  • Sewage flow: 50 m3/d
  • Organic flow BOD5: 900 kg/d
  • Suspended incoming solids: 960 kg/d
  • Total Nitrogen: 125 kg/d

Design and Construction of Leachate Treatment Plant at Livade Landfill in Podgorica, Montenegro

Livade Leachate Treatment Plant is constructed on the location of the existing sanitary landfill. Leachate will be transmitted from the existing leachate collecting pool no. 10. The design of the units performs for the estimated inlet flows of 80 m3/d, and 3.33 m3/h, with the possibility of expanding capacity up to 120 m3/day. Treated leachate will be either recycled to the landfill cells or discharged to the public sewage system of the City of Podgorica. Generated sludge after its treatment will be discharged to one of the landfill cells.

WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT OF LIANOKLADI-YPATI

The treatment method applied in the Plant consists of the activated sludge system with extended aeration and simultaneous stabilization of the sludge, biological removal of nitrogen (nitrification-denitrification), as well as biological and chemical removal of phosphorus. In addition, the Plant also included a tertiary treatment unit for the filtration and disinfection of the treated waste water (chlorination-dichlorination), while the excess sludge (mechanical thickening – dewatering) is treated by a decanted.

WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR THE MUNICIPALITIES AND COMMUNITIES LOCATED IN SOUTH PIERIA

The Waste Water Treatment Plant for the Municipalities and Communities located in South Pieria is constructed at the area “Xiroziliano-Diodia” to the west of the National Road Katerini – Larissa, an area of 68 acres which is sufficient for the needs of the year 2040. The sewage treatment units are constructed at a special field approximately 250 m from the main site of the plant.

The capacity of the project is the following:

  • Population Equivalent: 150.000 residents
  • Daily Wastewater flow: 21.000m3/d
  • Sewage flow: 576m3/d

Tertiary treatment of the effluent in the Municipality of Kos island

SUPPLYING AND INSTALLING OF THE ELECTROMECHANICAL EQUIPMENT IN THE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT OF LAMIA

The Waste Water Treatment Plant has been constructed at a lowland rural area within the administrative limits of the Municipality of Lamia, at a road distance of approximately 6 km from the city center and 2.5 km from its limits. The area administratively belongs to the Municipality of Lamia and specifically to the area of Roditsa and occupies about 54 acres.

The scope of the project included:

  • The supply and installation of the new provisional electrical and mechanical equipment.
  •  The Civil Engineering auxiliary works during the installation of this equipment.
  •  The efficient operation and integration tests of the new equipment.
  •  The operation of the equipment for a period of three (3) months, since the completion of the works.
  •  The maintenance of the equipment for a period of twelve (12) months.

SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT OF SOUTH THASOS

The area where the unit is located is at a distance of about 3,8km east – northeast of the settlement of Skala Maries of the Municipality of Thasos. The constuction area of the Sewage Treatment Plant is located at about 130m upstream of the road section between the settlement of Maries and Prinos.

The Sewage Treatment Plant consists mainly of prefabricated units. Additionally, the disinfection unit and the septic and equalization tank assembly as well as the earthworks and other works for the reception, installation, connection and full operation of the compact units and configuration of the surrounding area, are also included.

The capacity of the plant, is 150m3 of sewage per day. Assuming the 15m3 capacity of a typical tanker, this supply corresponds to the reception of 10 tankers per day.

WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT OF KALLIRACHI-THASOS

The Waste Water Treatment Plant will be located in a municipal area of 2.727.21 m2, of the settlement of Kallirachi and in particular is located 600 meters southwest of the settlement and is 1850 m from the highway Limenaria – Limenaria and 2000 meters from the sea.

Taking into account the tourist character of the area and its tourist development in recent years, the construction of a waste water treatment plant with a capacity of 3,000 equivalent inhabitants was chosen, so that it can also receive the sewage of Skala Kallirachis in the future and be able to cope with increased treatment needs, especially during the summer operating periods.

The unit includes the following sections:
